March 15, 2026
So far 2026 has been a good year for me. I'm feeling very motivated lately in all areas of my life. I'm prioritizing self growth, working hard on my goals, and staying connected with friends and family. Some of the things I'm currently focused on include:
Work: I'm continuing to focus on developing technically as a Data Engineer. Current areas of development include deepening my knowledge of Databricks and Spark, learning more about ML Ops, and improving my skills in AI/LLM integration.
Health: I'm making physical fitness a big priority. I'm currently lifting 4-6 times per week and running 2-3 times per week. I recently ran my first 10k and I'm working towards new PRs in my compound lifts (2 plate bench coming soon). I'm also focusing on improving my sleep and eating a mainly whole foods diet.
Personal Projects: I'm spending some free time developing this website. I'm also focused on enhancements to my college football rankings to be completed this offseason. I have a few other projects in the works as well including modifying my college football ranking model to work for college basketball and developing a data journalism project tracking the asset (mis)management of the Memphis Grizzlies over the last decade.
Connections: I'm making a conscious effort to stay connected with friends and family. I don't have any family here in Atlanta and as each year passes, it feels that my friends become more and more spread out. I'm trying to call people more often. If you haven't heard from me in awhile, please reach out! I love catching up and hearing about what people are up to.
